Bare is an online-only workshop. We don't keep a showroom or open the workshop to walk-in visitors — it keeps overheads low and means every hour goes into building furniture rather than hosting it.

So how do you choose with confidence?

The product photography on the site is honest — same timber, same finish, same proportions you'll receive. Every product page lists the full dimensions so you can measure the space first. If you'd like additional photos, a video of a specific detail, or a sample of the timber and finish before you commit, just ask.

Talk to us before you order

For larger pieces, we'd rather have a conversation than guess. Send us your room dimensions, a few photos of the space, and a note about how you plan to use the piece — we'll come back to you with honest advice on size, configuration, and whether the piece is right for you. No pressure to buy.

This is the part we'd usually do in person if we had a showroom. We've found that doing it over email or WhatsApp actually works better — you get our considered answer in your own time, and we get to think it through properly.

Custom & commissioned work

If you've seen something in the range that's almost right but needs a slightly different size, a particular timber, or a small modification, we can usually accommodate. Commissioned pieces take longer (typically 6 to 10 weeks) and are quoted individually. Reach out with what you have in mind.
