Ground is where it began and Bare is where it comes home.
Robyn grew up under the sun. First in rural Limpopo. Later, a farm in Muldersdrift and on the water during summers in St Francis Bay.
Ten years into a furniture career, Robyn’s focus shifted to the transformation of her family farm. Today, Ground is a standout wedding and events venue, run by her immediate family.
Ever evolving, redefining and imagining, this next chapter sees Robyn’s return to furniture design. Settled in Franschhoek with wife, Nicci, their son Hunter, and their three utterly spoilt dogs, Bare was born.
The name ‘Bare’ is a nod to her dad’s nickname ‘Bear’, bestowed affectionately by his grandchildren and a word representing the spirit through which she designs with raw, natural materials.
